Worsthorne News

Welcome back to you all. When lockdown began we were in the course of producing the April edition of the magazine. But we decided not to proceed with this as it was impossible to deliver them without breaching the rules that were brought in to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. But as you will have seen, we have been thrifty and used the April covers, suitably amended, for this edition.

As many of you will know we have been running an online digital of the magazine for the past four months. This has been circulated to as many of our subscribers as possible for whom we have an email address. If you have not seen these, but would like to, please send an email to npaves@hotmail.com. The PCC will consider whether it is possible to maintain both digital and printed versions in future.

Four months later things are starting to look a little less strange. Crucially since the beginning of July we have been able to resume Church services. We have had to make a number of changes to comply with social distancing and other precautionary measures. So we must sit a suitable distance away from our friends, there is no wine at the Eucharist, and we are not allowed to sing. But it is a real joy to be able to worship together once again.
