ANNUAL PAROCHIAL CHURCH MEETING

Updated: Nov 23

The Vestry and APCM took place online on Zoom on Tuesday 13th October 2020.

Many thanks to those people who attended the meeting. There were 19 attendees in total.

Julie Cambridge and Jane Mitchell were elected as Churchwardens until the next APCM. Pam Pomeroy has now resigned as Churchwarden and we are all very grateful for the hard work and effort she has dedicated to our parish and to the benefice over the past 25 years.

Jane was also elected as our representative on the Deanery Synod for the coming 3 years. We still have 1 vacancy to fill if anyone is willing and interested. Nick Aves and Bob Clayfield attend the Deanery Synod meetings in their roles as Diocesan Synod representatives and Rev Chris also attends the meetings, so we are well represented. Liz Atkinson, Amanda Cattell and Julie Cambridge have now retired from the Synod and we thank them for their service over the past 3 years.

We had 5 vacancies on the Parochial Church Council and the following people were duly elected to serve for 3 years: Liz Atkinson, Lucy Bamber, Amanda Cattell, Mavis Wade and Giles Williams.

The Annual Report and Accounts for 2019, which had been prepared for the original meeting planned in March, were received, together with reports from the Churchwardens, the Mothers' Union, the Diocesan and Deanery Synods, the Choir, Safeguarding and Vision 2026. Thank you to all those who had prepared the reports for our consideration and to Jim Leaver who had audited the Accounts for us. If there is anyone who was unable to attend the meeting but would like to see these reports, please contact me for a copy.

In his report, Rev Chris set out his vision for the future and growth of our church.
